In October 2014, American Red Cross Long Island once again recognized DOF’s work on behalf of survivors of Super Storm “Sandy” who are dealing with disability-related issues, with an award of $57,800. In January 2014, DOF and ACDS held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of a new home that will house four young men with Autism. This creative housing solution will allow these young men to live independent from their families in a supportive environment.
